Snowy (now called - Sugar) - Adopted by Bonnie

Mango - Adopted by Rose Williams

Woody - Adopted by Janet Kotze

I adopted Woody, he is absolutely gorgeous and, although a little shy and nervy still, has settled in very nicely. He loves being groomed and being picked up an cuddled. he makes the best Sunday afternoon nap partner - ever!

He is an absolute delight and has really filled up my home and my heart. He is always so glad to see me and I adore him. He has developed into quite a little character with an iron will. Thanks to cat9lives for the opportunity to have this special little guy in my life.

Milo & Minkie - Adopted by Carola

Gewoonlik kruip hy iewerste weg. Dan gaan soek ek hom en poer-poer so bietjie by hom. Dan sal hy by my kom lê.

Wesley - Adopted by Annette Doms

Frankie - Adopted by Lize-mari Hare

When my cat was killed by a car in front of my house in June 2007 I was devastated I couldn’t believe she was dead and that I will never hold and see her again!! For months I struggled, missing her wishing she was still alive. Having a cat for 13 years and then the next moment to have nothing is terrible!!! A few months went by and I was missing my cat so much, I thought maybe I should consider getting a new kitty. I started looking on the web, going to pet shops – but found nothing. I phoned people who advertise they have kittens and I’m still waiting for their calls!!! When the end of the year came near I said to myself maybe it’s just not meant for me to have a cat at that stage, the right one will come along!!

And yes he did, just at the right time I found my boundel of joy!! My Frankie!!! It was January 2008 and one afternoon I had a client for a facial. I remember that day like it was yesterday, I had no power and had to do a facial for Engela James. I felt bad with no electricity but then again I went and did the facial as if I had power!! Through the facial Engela ask me if I like cats because she had a mommy with tree babies. I immediately replayed Yes!! I love cats, strange enough I’m looking for a cat. And told her my sad story of what happened to my cat. Immediately she told me that there is only one baby boy left. At first I wasn’t so keen, I wanted a girl!! But then I decided to go to her house the next Monday and just have a look at Mr. Frankie! When I came there I could just see that these people love cats everything in and out of the house is cat friendly!! Then when I saw that small little kitty I just knew that he is mine!!! He was a bit scared at first but when I looked into his eyes I could see him being my baby!! With no hesitation I said yes I will take him!! I could only get him on the Friday, so I went to go visit him everyday that week!!! I couldn’t wait for him to come home with me!!!

From that 1st day I took him home he was a great pleasure getting along with al the other pets at my house, and even my youngest Border Collie adopted him as her baby, those two plays from the morning until the evening, they love each other!! Frankie also has a big brother my toypom doggy!! He is already 15 years old but just as happy to let Frankie play and sleep in our room!!

I don’t regret one day having Frankie, he brings back the joy and love I haven’t had for a wile!! His the king of the house and everyone even my mother loves my cat, It’s some days hard to get her away from Frankie, He’s got the sweetest heart plays very soft an is an absolute pleasure in the house. He is the friendliest cat I ever had and I can see from his personality he was taken good care of, from the beginning. I personally think he is the luckiest

Thank you everyone at Cats9lives for everything that you do for these cats, especially Engela James!! Thank you Engela for taking such good care of the cats at your house, especially to Frankie without your warm heart and love my baby Frankie will never have been as sweet as he is. I am a very happy kitty mommy and will recommend your company to everyone who is looking for a cat. Kisses and love Lize-mari Hare

Lion is doing sooooooo well - He loves his new home and has made a new best friend, Butch - the Boerboel.

Cody & Julien (Marley) - Adopted by Jennifer Frei

Hi all! When my cat suddenly died. I promised myself not to get another one again as I was soooo heartbroken!

But after one week I couldn’t stand the fact that there might be other cats which need my help and need a lovely home, so I surfed the internet. There were so many emails of people who was going overseas looking for places for their animals or who had to give them away for other reasons.

I couldn’t decide, but then I got an email from Pat from the animals in distress organization who forwarded an email from Charlene with a slide show of her beautiful cats.

After I phoned her I just had the right feeling to drive to Pretoria and have look at the cats.

I fell in love with Julien (now called Marley) who only had one eye but you could already see that he had a lovely character.

I thought as I’m working the whole day and didn’t wanted Marley to feel bored during the day I got him a friend called Cody, he was with Charlene for 8 months already and is beautiful, strong cat with green eyes. Marley is running around everywhere and just follows you wherever you go. He even gives you company when you are sitting on the toilette. Cody enjoys relaxing the whole day lying somewhere or looking out the window.

I’m really happy that I adopted these two lovely cats! A big thanks to Charlene and her team …..Thanks Jennifer

Evelyn - Adopted by Natashja Singleton

I had to bid farewell to my best friend on the 6th of December 2007 when he died due to an unfortunate illness (cancer) the vet could not save him from, he was an five year old stray male cat I picked up in our flat complex last year (2006). It was really hard for me to come home to an empty flat and not have a fluffy being sleeping on my bed or welcoming me at the front door. *sigh* So I surfed the net amd after a long search I found a few places where I could adopt kittens/cats. I contacted a few places letting them know I am looking for a kitten/adult cat I want to give a home after I return from my vacation which was before christmas.

Engela replied to my email right away with pictures of Evelyn (it was not her name then) and her kittens and I fell in love with her right away, and this after I have already picked out a kitten from Kittens Corner.

After I returned from my vacation I picked my kitten I adopted from Kittens Corner and Evelyn was brought to me and I have not looked back ever since. She is the most adorable cat and the most laidback cat I have ever known. She as adopted the kitten I have adopted and the two of them can not be separated as they are to attached.
